Iraq recovers 90 billion dinars from social protection violators

[rtl]Today, Saturday, the Social Protection Fund in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs counted the money recovered from transgressors since its establishment and during the current year 2024, while explaining the reason for the cessation of its projects.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Fund’s Director General, Sihama Abdel Wahab, said, “The Fund’s funds come from the general federal budget allocations annually, and are disbursed to social protection assistance to beneficiaries of the social protection network in the form of monthly payments. [/rtl]
[rtl]Abdel Wahab added, “The Fund’s projects are currently suspended due to the lack of amendment to Law No. 11 of 2014 regarding social protection, as there is a paragraph in it that the Fund does not have a legal personality and financial and administrative independence.”[/rtl]
[rtl]She continued, "This year, according to the directive of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Labor to call it (the year of recovery) to pursue those who violated the social protection network and recover the amounts exceeded according to the Government Debt Law No. 56 of 1977, work is underway to intersect information through the database of beneficiaries with a database." Employees, retirees, property owners, modern cars, generator owners, and extracting the trespassers to repay the trespassed funds.”[/rtl]
[rtl]She confirmed that “90 billion dinars have been recovered since the beginning of the fund’s establishment in 2015 until now, while the funds recovered during the current year, from the period 1/1/2024 to 4/30/2024, amounted to approximately (5) billion dinars after the intersection of information.” And extracting the names of the transgressors.[/rtl]
