Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday, that the government program has given a wide scope to the government’s vision for investing in oil and gas.
The Prime Minister said during his speech at the ceremony announcing the fifth complementary and sixth licensing rounds, which was followed by Mawazine News: “Today represents the end of great efforts made by the Ministry of Oil and the beginning of a greater effort and more opportunities that will be reflected in every aspect of the national economy,” pointing out that “the government program It included a new policy emerging in the oil revolution, and that it devoted a wide scope to the government’s vision for oil and gas investment.”
He added, "Iraq is a difficult number in the world's energy equation," noting that "the government will proceed with integrated oil projects." He pointed out that "the path to development is Iraq's big project," stressing that "the government has set a goal of transferring 40 percent of oil production to manufacturing industries within 10 years." He continued, "There are dozens of reputable international companies competing for oil investment, and they have a safe and stable environment to work in Iraq."
