    BAGHDAD / NINA / The leader of the Iraqiya coalition, Iyad Allawi hailed
    the National role of the clergies in promoting and consolidating the
    national unity and cohesion of the Iraqi people.

    Allawi praised,
    during a meeting with Ayatollah, Hussein al-Sadr, the role of the
    clergies in maintaining the unity and cohesion of the people through
    reminding the people of the risks surrounding the country, stressing on
    the National role of Al-Sadr in the unity and cohesion of citizens.

    For
    his part, al-Sadr praised Allawi's role in promoting and strengthening
    the national unity and his active and influential role in consolidating
    the relations among the national blocs in order to contribute
    effectively in building a unified Iraq able to stand against the enemies
    of Iraq. / End

    Allawi stresses clergymen’s role in preserving unity among Iraqis

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the Iraqiya Slate confirmed the clergymen’s role in preserving the unity among the Iraqis through creating the awareness among them about the challenges facing the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
    A statement by Allawi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The religious authority Hussien al-Sadr, received Allawi and the accompanied delegation and he praised Allawi’s role in consolidating the relations among the political blocs to participate in building Iraq.”
    “Allawi emphasized Sadr’s national role in uniting the citizens against the dangers face Iraq,” the statement concluded.

    That's the way I, a outsider, views Maliki instead of Allawi. Not sure about who the two media sources are owned by but possibly a political stand/agenda here.
