Shakhwan Abdullah: The bombing of more than one Iraqi governorate yesterday is a dangerous transformation
Shafaq News/ Shakhwan Abdullah, Deputy Speaker of Parliament considered, on Thursday, the bombing that targeted more than one Iraqi province a "dangerous shift" that suggests that it is part of the state of Iran.
Abdullah said during his hosting at the Al-Rafidain Forum for Dialogue, that "everything that is happening now is due to the weakness of the Iraqi government. It is true that there are summons to ambassadors, but this is not enough, as the Iraqis are asking for more."
He added that Iraq is a sovereign country that has international support in protecting its sovereignty, adding: Yesterday there was a dangerous shift by targeting more than one Iraqi governorate with dozens of missiles and drones, as if this geographical spot is part of the neighboring country, and it uses all its capabilities to protect this spot, noting that the response On such violations, the unity of the Iraqi political forces shall be in place.
Regarding the early elections in Iraq, Abdullah said: The early elections must be preceded by a political agreement in order to accept the upcoming results, stressing that the political forces must have a political consensus before holding any elections.
He also said: If we want political stability, we have to involve all political forces, especially the Sadrist movement, for the upcoming political process, and we count on dialogue and the effort made by the political blocs.
Regarding the Iraqi constitution, the deputy speaker of parliament said, “It is a very good constitution and the best constitution in the region, and the problem is not in it, but in the lack of application of its articles.” Failure to implement this constitution, which led to weakness in the administration of the state.
He cautioned that there is no representation of the components in the Iraqi government, and this is a violation of the Iraqi constitution, and there is more than one constitutional violation in this aspect.
Abdullah concluded that it was the defect in the administration of the country that unjustly represented the Iraqi components in the Iraqi governments, stressing that the application of the constitution is the solution to ending the current problems in Iraq and the failure to implement the constitution brought Iraq to what we are.
