[size=45]Deputy “Ali Shaddad” revealed that the Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, had agreed to grant the ministries of oil and water resources to the Basra governorate, noting that “the representatives of Basra had a great role in making Basra get its due in the cabinet formation.”[/size]
[size=45]Shaddad pointed out that the province of Basra must have a real representation in the government formation, due to its political and economic importance and the service problems it suffers from and the deliberate loss of its rights by successive governments.[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that "the ongoing negotiations with most of the political blocs may result in Basra obtaining a third ministerial portfolio," noting that "the real goal is to represent Basra in the Council of Ministers, regardless of the names of the personalities who will manage these ministries.[/size]
