The Minister of Oil seeks to transform the Iraqi Drilling Company from a loser to a profitable one
Shafaq News/ Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani affirmed the ministry's keenness and seriousness in supporting the Iraqi Drilling Company to advance performance levels and upgrade it to be a profitable company competing with international companies in terms of workload and performance.
This came during his visit to the company and his meeting with the general manager and the national staff working in the company, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Friday.
During his meeting with the company's advanced staff, Abdul Ghani said, "We are pleased with the amount of work achieved during the past period in various locations, and we aspire to raise the level of performance and to be one of the active companies and transform it from a losing company to a profitable company."
The Minister referred to the support provided by the Ministry to the Drilling Company to implement projects for drilling and reclamation of oil wells for the benefit of national and international companies and its effective contribution to increasing production, stressing the continuation of the great support for its work and working to speed up its equipping with the latest mechanisms, towers and equipment necessary in its field of work.
He stressed the importance of training them according to the latest training curricula and developing their capabilities to reflect on the outstanding performance, adding that the company's obtaining the ISO and international quality certification is evidence of the right path.
For his part, the General Manager of the Drilling Company, Basem Abdul Karim, reviewed the projects implemented by the company, the number of operating drilling rigs and work mechanisms during the past two years to improve performance and raise levels, in addition to the challenges facing the work, stressing that the company will be one of the profitable companies during the next year thanks to the support provided by the senior management. of the Ministry and the efforts of the workers.
