Oil expert Hamza Al-Jawahiri confirmed, on Tuesday, that our oil markets in Asia are not affected by Russia's cheap oil exports.
"According to the strategy of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), our exports to Asia should be 50 percent, and to the markets of Europe and America 25 percent for each of them," Al-Jawahiri said in an interview with "Shafaq News" agency, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News".
He explained, "What Iraq currently exports to Asia is 65 percent, especially to India and China, and therefore this means that Iraq exports more than planned and also means that our markets in Asia are not affected by the increase in Russia's exports to these countries."
He continued, "Iraq has had stable markets for years, and it cannot lose them, given that the quality of Iraqi oil is desirable in all global oil markets, and that the export quantities of Iraq continue, which is what the consuming countries are looking for in terms of stability of oil imports."
