    Today, Thursday, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, called on the government to accelerate the development of “Kurdish” cities outside the Kurdistan region.
    A statement from his media office, received by (Al-Oula News), stated that “Al-Mandalawi received today, in his office, a number of sheikhs and notables of the Al-Arkwazi clan in Khanaqin and Baghdad.”
    Al-Mandalawi stressed, “the importance of the federal government’s interest in the reconstruction and development of Kurdish cities outside the Kurdistan region,” stressing “the need to develop border crossings in Khanaqin.”
    According to the statement: “The first deputy from the audience listened to a number of issues of concern to citizens in Khanaqin and Baghdad, and also stressed the importance of coordination with the federal government and local governments for the purpose of rebuilding Kurdish areas outside the region and developing their border crossings.”
