    Karbala (IraqiNews.com) -The Police Department of Karbala province declared that ”The human casualties of the explosion which took place between the holy shrines in Karbala province reached 13 deaths and injuries.”The director of the media directorate in Karbala Police Department, Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Omran, stated to IraqiNews.com ”The death toll of the explosion reached two deaths and 11 injured people, most of them are civilians and one of them is an Iranian person.””The final investigations on the explosion proved that the explosion was caused by landmine remained after the Shaabaniya uprising at the nineties of the last century,” he added.The religious authority of Imam Hussein holy shrine confirmed the reports of the police and the Secretary General of the religious authority, Walaa al-Safar, stated to IraqiNews.com ”We confirmed the report of the police, regarding the explosion of the landmine, because the area is under strict security measures and surrounded by surveillance cameras as well as the highly technical devices used by security forces that are distributed in the area.””The police will conduct survey for mines in the area between the holy shrines since the area did not witness any survey or digging operations since 1991,” he pointed out. \

    Karbala (IraqiNews.com) -The Karbala Police Department reported a new story regarding the explosion that took place in the yard situated between the holy shrines in Karbala.The Director of the Media Section in Karbala Police Department, Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Umran, stated to IraqiNews.com ”The initial investigations refers that the explosion was caused by a shell explosion, which was buried underground,” noting that “The shell belongs to the former regime and the shell exploded during the digging operation of the construction project.””Four people were injured due to the explosion,” he added.The reports conflicted regarding the explosion that took place in the yard situated between the holy shrines of Karbala, since the Media Director of Karbala police department announced that “The blast was caused by an IED explosion,” while the religious authority of Imam Hussein holy Shrine announced that “The explosion was implemented by a suicide bomber.” \

    Karbala (IraqiNews.com) -The Secretary General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala province reported to IraqiNews.com the details related to the explosion that took place between the Holy Shrines in Karbala.The Media Director of the Holy Shrine Authority, Walaa al-Safar, stated to IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”A suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest inside a workplace of a project that aims to develop the area located between the holy shrines in Karbala near the Iron bridge,” noting that “The suicide bomber was killed due to the explosion which resulted in wounding five civilians as an initial count.””The authority of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein decided to end dealing permanently with Faw company for general engineering within the Ministry of Construction and Housing which is responsible for implementing the project,” he added, noting that “The workers at the project are subjected to the inspection measures while the engineers of Faw company are excluded of these procedures.” The reports conflicted regarding the explosion that took place between the holy shrines of Karbala, since the Media Director of Karbala police department announced that “The blast was caused by an IED explosion,” without giving further details. \

    SLC MP condemns Karbala terrorist bombing

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP Mansour al-Timimi of the State of Law Coalition condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted Karbala province on Sunday which led to 13 deaths and injuries.
    Timimi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday “The criminal gangs renewed their brutal crimes against the armless people in Karbala,” noting “This necessitates earnest stand by the security forces to reconsider their plans and combat these armed groups which seek to disrupt Iraqi people’s unity.”
    Earlier, Karbala Police Command has announced on Sunday that ”An Improvised Explosive Device exploded in the area between the two Holy Shrines in central Karbala.”
