Today, Monday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee called on the government to expedite sending the general federal budget law for the year 2023 after forming the government and electing the heads of parliamentary committees.
The first vice-chairman of the committee, Ahmed Mazhar Al-Jubouri, said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “After more than four months have passed since the formation of the government, we demand that it expedite and work seriously to send the budget law for the year 2023 within a short period so that the Finance Committee can legislate it in the House of Representatives.” Especially since the time inside the committee and the council is short before discussing the draft law,” expressing his hope that “the time will not be longer at the expense of the poor and the Iraqi people, since the country is in dire need of legislating.” the law.”
