    Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani held a meeting with the leaders of the coordination framework to discuss a number of files and political and economic developments, including the recent Federal Court decision regarding the dues of the Kurdistan region.

    Haider Al-Barzanji, a researcher on political affairs, said, in press statements, that "the leaders of the coordination framework met yesterday evening, Sunday (January 23, 2023) at the home of the leader in the coordination framework, Hammam Hamoudi, in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, as well as in the presence of Qais Khazali, Hammam Hammoudi and Hadi Al-Amiri Nouri al-Maliki and Ammar al-Hakim.

    Al-Barzanji explained that "the meeting witnessed the discussion of the latest developments and changes that took place last week with the Prime Minister and the outcomes of his visit to France, as well as some decisions issued regarding the issue of the budget, and the issue of early elections and the election law were also discussed."

    Al-Barzanji noted that "the meeting also witnessed a discussion of the repercussions of what happened from the decision of the Federal Court, which is very important in repelling the deterrence that occurred and the reactions that were issued by some leaders in the Kurdistan region, Noting that "the government is going with a different vision in this regard, so that it respects the decision of the Federal Court remains valid, and it goes towards lending to the Kurdistan Regional Government until the approval of the 2023 general budget."

    Al-Barzanji stressed that "the meeting emphasized the speedy sending of the budget to the Iraqi parliament, and activating the parliament's role with regard to the oil and gas law, in order to solve this problem," adding that "one of the priorities that were discussed in the meeting was the issue of the dollar and the exchange rate and going the Iraqi government delegation to the United States of America on the eighth of next February, headed by Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, with the membership of the Minister of Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank, and a group of specialists in this aspect.

    These issues were discussed in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia 'al-Sudanese, who has a weekly detailed presentation of what is happening during the week in terms of political changes and government achievements that are presented to the leaders of the coordination framework. Some issues are discussed and whether there are obstacles," according to Haider al-Barzanji, who pointed out "The meeting also witnessed the discussion of various other issues, including the parliamentary committees that were passed in the House of Representatives on Sunday."

    Regarding the Federal Court's decision on the dues of the Kurdistan region, Al-Barzanji said, "The court's decision is final and cannot be circumvented, but the federal government will be loaned to the Kurdistan Regional Government, until the budget is approved, and therefore There is no legal problem in this field.[/rtl]
