The head of the State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed today, Wednesday, that Iraq is keen to attract discreet international companies.
Al-Hakim said in a statement received by (Al-Oula News): “During our reception this morning, the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, we discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the success of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s visit to Paris, and the positive dimensions of this visit,” indicating “Iraq’s seriousness in establishing balanced international relations. And his keenness to attract discreet international companies to provide services to the people.
He pointed to "the importance of transforming bilateral agreements into action programs governed by specific time ceilings," calling for "taking advantage of the opportunities offered by Iraq in the field of reconstruction, housing and development."
For his part, Chevalier affirmed “France’s support for the stability of Iraq,” expressing “his country’s desire to implement major projects in the fields of energy and transportation, and to cooperate with the Iraqi government in the field of combating corruption.”
