    The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Tuesday, that its staff was able to seize more than two hundred disbursement documents and priorities according to which billions of dinars were spent with signatures attributed to members of the Salah al-Din Governorate Council, members of local councils, heads of districts and sub-districts therein.

    The Commission’s Investigation Department, in its discussion of the details of the operation, which was carried out on the basis of a judicial note, (February 14, 2023), stated that “the Commission’s investigation office in the province had received information about violations in the disbursement of financial rewards to members of the Salah al-Din Provincial Council, members of local councils and heads of The districts and sub-districts therein, and as a result, the office formed a team to investigate and investigate the validity of the information, and to move to the provincial council building.  
      
    She explained that "her team was able to seize the original disbursement documents for sums of money (215) documents in the Accounts Department of the Provincial Council, according to which financial rewards were disbursed to members of the provincial councils, members of local councils, and heads of districts and sub-districts therein for the years (2014 to 2019) with the priorities of disbursement for each document." On them are proven signatures attributed to them, confirming that the total of those disbursed amounts amounted to (8,209,185,500) billion Iraqi dinars.  
      
    She pointed out that "its preliminary investigations in the case, which are conducted in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code, revealed that the amounts disbursed from the governorate were disbursed in a formal manner, and with signatures similar to the signatures of members of the Salah al-Din Governorate Council, members of local councils and heads of districts and sub-districts in them, who Some of them - from those whose testimonies were taken - denied receiving the sums of those rewards.  
      
    And she noted, "The organization of a formal seizure report of the operation that took place, based on the decision of the Rusafa Investigation Court, which is specialized in integrity issues in the Baghdad governorate, in order to send it to the Commission's Investigation Directorate in Baghdad to complete the appropriate legal procedures."
