    Amidi said, according to a statement from his office, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, that: "One of the priorities of the Iraqi government is to focus on water and the solutions required to overcome the risks of scarcity and pollution in water sources, in addition to strengthening and supporting environmental work and reducing the impact of climate changes such as drought, desertification and dust storms." .
    He stressed, "A great determination by the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani to implement the requirements of the Iraqi National Contributions Document and the Paris Climate Agreement in a way that serves the environmental reality and maximizes natural resources."
    Amidi explained, "The importance of the issue of investment in the private sector between the ministry and the Dutch side in the environmental file in all its sectors, and giving it special importance and priority."
    On his part, the Dutch ambassador explained the interest of the Dutch government in supporting Iraq, especially in the issues of agriculture, water management, renewable energies, and the promotion of joint environmental cooperation.
