[rtl]Basra / NINA / The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, discussed with a delegation from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) issues of common interest.
Al-Fartousi said, "We are committed to implementing the international agreements ratified by Iraq, and we are working to study other agreements for the purpose of joining them."
He stressed the need to hold such meetings because they draw a road map to fulfill the requirements of the International Maritime Organization.
In addition, the head of the Supreme Iraqi Maritime Authority, Director General of the Maritime Transport Company, Ahmed Jassim Naim, confirmed that the requirements of the International Maritime Organization are important for Iraq because they are considered among the international agreements that were legislated under the laws.
