Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Commerce announced that it will start distributing Ramadan and food baskets this week through ration agents in Baghdad and the provinces.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, said in a press statement, "The ministry will start during the current week preparing the Ramadan food basket among those who deserve it from the eight million and 500 thousand families, with the aim of controlling the rise in prices in the local markets by opening marketing outlets for direct sale to citizens." ".
Hanoun added, "The Ramadan basket includes four items, which are a layer of eggs, a kilo of noodles, 500 grams of starch, and a kilo of zero flour. As for the items of the food basket, it includes seven items: sugar, oil, paste, rice, legumes, lentils, and chickpeas, in addition to flour," pointing out that "the care share Social materials milk, tea, flour, zero rations, sugar and oil, warning that care will be 12 in number compared to 10 for the food basket.
