[size=45]Today, Tuesday, corresponding to 4/4/2023, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals for Planning Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Karim, met with a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of the Director General of the Investments Department in the Ministry, the general managers of the Industrial Estates Authority, the General Company for Phosphates, the General Company for Mining Industries, and a number of officials, to discuss About opportunities for cooperation and partnership in various industrial fields.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, Mr. Undersecretary expressed his desire to strengthen industrial cooperation relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the investment opportunities available, especially in the field of strategic industries, which include petrochemicals, cement, fertilizers, iron and steel, phosphates and medicines, calling on Saudi companies to participate in the mining, petrochemicals and fertilizers conference scheduled to be held next May. Which aims to present investment opportunities and develop strategic and transformational industries in Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]Mr. Al-Wakil pointed out that Iraq is a rich country and has promising investment opportunities, and that Saudi Arabia is one of the industrially developed countries in various industrial fields and has cooperation and projects in many countries, especially the Arab world, indicating that the government's policy aims to develop the industrial reality in Iraq and that the Ministry is ready to cooperate with The Saudi side to achieve this goal, noting at the same time that Iraq needs to build modern factories and production lines in order to employ manpower and increase the competitiveness of local products.[/size]
[size=45]For its part, the Saudi delegation expressed readiness for cooperation and joint work with Iraq and a serious desire to encourage partnership and activate joint memorandums of understanding between the two countries.[/size]
