Yesterday, Tuesday, the National Data Center Department at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers started working on the electronic "Gharamah" platform.
A statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated that “the National Data Center Department launched the first phase of the “Gharamah” platform, which will enable the citizen to inquire about the details of the traffic violations registered on his vehicle or on one of the vehicles of his family members, and obtain the results through a text message (SMS). via his mobile phone.
The developer of the electronic platform, Haider Jabbar Al-Sudani, said, according to the statement, that "the integrated link between the electronic violations system and the Ur electronic portal for government services has been completed, and a platform for inquiries has been established under the title "Fine", which provides easy-to-use tools," noting that "citizens' inquiries about Traffic violations will be done using the plate number of their vehicles, and they only have to register on the online portal Ur.
The director of the National Data Center Department, Ammar Mazhar Al-Tamimi, explained, according to the statement, that “the platform is currently in its first phase and work is proceeding at a high pace to move to the second and third phases, as the second phase aims to inform the citizen of new violations directly and via text messages, which enables him to pay The amount of the fine without being doubled.
He pointed out that "the last stage will be the activation of the electronic payment service, which allows the citizen to pay the fines related to his vehicle without the need to review the traffic block registered for the violation, which may be in another governorate."
For his part, the developer of the electronic system for violations at the General Traffic Directorate, Lieutenant Colonel Durgham Abdul Hussein Al-Kaabi, pointed out that "the total number of fines filed in the system currently has reached (4,402,119) traffic violations."
