    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq today:

A source in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament revealed mediation by Baghdad with the aim of lifting the Turkish ban on Sulaymaniyah Airport.

According to the source, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani assigned National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji to lead the mediation file in the issue of imposing the Turkish flight ban on Sulaymaniyah airport."

He added, “The deputy head of the regional government, Qubad Talabani, agreed to provide guarantees to Al-Araji with the aim of delivering them to the Turkish side, including the closure of all PKK headquarters in Sulaymaniyah, whether public or civil society organizations, companies and media institutions affiliated with it.”

He pointed out that "the National Union agreed to make pledges regarding preventing any armed activity of the PKK or SDF within the administrative borders of Sulaymaniyah and not to cooperate with them in this field."

While he stressed that "Turkey asked the Iraqi mediator for guarantees provided by (the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) to lift the flight ban imposed on Sulaymaniyah in the middle of next month, as a maximum."[/rtl]
