    [rtl]The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara, Majed Al-Lajmawi, announced that an agreement had been reached with the head of the consular department in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nordan Altin, to facilitate the granting of entry visas between the two countries.

    The ministry stated in a statement that "Majid Al-Lajmawi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara, met with the head of the consular department in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nordan Altintas, in the building of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, And in the meeting they discussed coordination between the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and providing the necessary support for work The common level at the level of facilitating the granting of entry visas between the two countries.

    The Iraqi ambassador confirmed, "The embassy is working to facilitate procedures for granting entry visas to Iraqi lands for Turkish investors and businessmen, based on the authority granted to us by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani during his visit to Ankara and his meeting with businessmen and investors on March 22, 2023."

    Al-Lajmawi noted, according to the statement, that "the embassy did not reject any request submitted to grant entry visas to Iraq," stressing that "the embassy's doors are open to receive businessmen and investors wishing to work in Iraq, and its willingness to remove obstacles that prevent the smooth flow of economic and commercial activity.”

    He added, "There are great facilities in increasing the number of visas granted to other categories of Turkish citizens, as for workers, the issue is related to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs," revealing that "our consulate in Istanbul was instructed to Continue working on granting entry visas to Iraqi lands, and that the embassy It is working on holding a symposium for Turkish businessmen and investors soon in Istanbul.”

    The statement indicated, “The meeting was attended by Counselor Farouk Zebari, and First Secretary Jassim Muhammad Ahmed, on the Iraqi side, Turker Uba, head of the Personalities Department in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”[/rtl]
