    Today, Friday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi chaired the periodic meeting of the Taqaddam Party deputies in the House of Representatives to discuss the overall situation on the political scene.
    Al-Halbousi stressed during the meeting, according to a statement by the Taqaddam party, the need to strengthen the role of the Taqaddam Party representatives within the parliamentary committees, and what is reflected in activating the oversight and legislative role of the parliament.

    The meeting stressed the importance of following up on the commitments and laws included in the political agreement paper, foremost of which is the general amnesty law and the stages of its approval. It may affect the implementation of its provisions.
    The meeting also discussed a number of organizational files for the party and preparations for the upcoming provincial elections.
