The Transportation and Communications Committee in the House of Representatives expected that the next few phases would witness the launch of the fourth license project for mobile phones. Committee member Zuhair Shahid al-Fatlawi said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "Members of the committee met with the Minister of Communications, Dr. Hayam Al-Yasiri, last Sunday, and the fourth mobile phone license project, which will be purely national, was discussed," noting that "the ministry is the main operator." for the project in partnership with a discreet international company. He added, "The project was announced years ago, but the government is determined to implement it during this period," stressing that "if it is launched, it will create competition between companies that have worked in Iraq for years and the new company, so that the citizen has the opportunity to choose the company that suits his requirements and meets his services." ".
And Al-Fatlawi stated that "the Minister of Communications gave a detailed explanation of the Ministry's projects and strategic and future plans that would raise the level of services provided to citizens, including accelerating work to introduce the satellite Internet system, following up transit contracts for the optical cable, operating submarine optical cables, and monitoring and monitoring the quality of service provided by Internet companies," pointing out that "the ministry's policy is to provide correct and distinguished investment visions that are comparable to countries in the world in providing services."
