[size=45]The ministry said in a statement that, “Based on the approval of the Council of Ministers and in implementation of what was stated in its decision No. (23500) in its session held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, the Rafidain and Rashid banks will sign a loan agreement with the Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan Region to pay the salaries of the region’s employees with a guarantee of a deposit submitted to the Ministry.” Federal finances, provided that they are settled from the dues of the region after their commitment to the provisions of the budget law.[/size]
[size=45]The ministry added that it is “keen to guarantee the financial rights of all citizens and employees in accordance with what is imposed by the stipulated controls and instructions, and accordingly the federal government decided to disburse financial loans to the Kurdistan Regional Government as salaries for its employees.” In the Kurdistan Regional Government, the loan agreement referred to in the decision in question.[/size]
