     Information / Baghdad...
A member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, MP Salah Al-Tamimi, confirmed on Sunday the anticipation of the issuance of three decisions regarding the provincial council elections.

Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “There is no postponement of the provincial council elections and all forces are preparing to run in them through lists in accordance with the controls and instructions of the High Commission.”
He added, "The Parliamentary Security Committee discussed in detail the election file and decided not to allow any party or political bloc to exploit or invest its influence in the security establishment or to attempt to exert pressure to achieve electoral gains and to seek to preserve its independence in general."
He pointed out that "any attempt to exploit the security services or put pressure on them will be confronted by us and there will be investigations because it is unacceptable to politicize any security apparatus in the election file."
The government decided to set next December 18 as the date for holding the provincial council elections.
