Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, reviewed the details of the work in the Grand Al-Faw Port and the development road at the Iraq Ambassadors Conference.
The Ministry of Transport stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, that “Al-Saadawi delivered a speech at the seventh edition of the Iraqi Ambassadors Conference held in Baghdad, in which he reviewed the details of the work on the Ministry’s projects, especially the Grand Al-Faw Port and Development Road projects and the file of the European embargo on the national carrier, while He adequately answered all the questions posed by the ambassadors.”
The minister said, according to the statement, that “Iraqi diplomacy has balanced international relations and sustainable economic development,” and that “the final path of the development road and the final economic feasibility study of the project have been approved,” stressing that “the connection point with the Turkish side via Fish Khabur has been determined.”
Al-Saadawi added, "The initial designs for the railway line on the development path have reached 50%, and we have also begun the highway design phase."
He stated that "there will be investments on both sides of the road, 15 stations for transporting goods, and the same for transporting passengers, and that these stations will be distributed among 11 governorates," noting that "the development road consists of two paths: a railway and an international highway."
