    Today, Saturday (November 25, 2023), the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed that Iraq continues to follow up on the file of prosecuting the perpetrators of the “Speicher” crime in all countries of the world .
    Committee member Mahdi Taqi told “Baghdad Today” that “Iraq during the last period was able to recover many of the terrorists involved in crimes against the Iraqi people, especially the perpetrators of the Speicher crimes, and work is ongoing and continuous to pursue all these terrorists in all countries of the world .  ”
    Taqi explained, “Iraq has security agreements with many countries in the world as well as with the international police, and therefore it can recover any terrorist or wanted person from any country,” adding that “strengthening Iraq’s foreign relations has greatly contributed to accelerating the process of arresting fugitive terrorists and corrupt people.” Abroad".
    Yesterday, Friday (November 24, 2023), the Joint Operations Command announced the overthrow of two of the perpetrators of the “Speicher crime” after they disappeared for 9 years in a neighboring country.
    The command stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "with a qualitative operation based on accurate information, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, in coordination with the Joint Operations Command, was able to arrest two of the perpetrators of the Speicher crime after they disappeared for 9 years in one of the neighboring countries."
    On August 30, 2023, the Intelligence Agency announced the overthrow of the most dangerous criminal among the perpetrators of the “Speicher massacre” after luring him from outside Iraq.
    The agency stated in a statement that “the men of the Intelligence Agency in Nineveh Governorate were able to arrest the most dangerous criminals who participated in the execution of military students within the Speicher base, in addition to his execution of a group of citizens and his participation in bombing operations,” noting that “the arrest came in accordance with intelligence information.” Minutes received by the Intelligence Agency in Nineveh Governorate by luring him into Iraq from the neighboring countries where he had taken refuge after being injured in the liberation battles, where the aforementioned criminal was impersonating his brother’s name by forging one of the documents in an attempt to flee and evade the grip of the Intelligence Agency’s men.” 
    The "Speicher Massacre" occurred during ISIS's control over many areas in Nineveh, Salah al-Din, and Anbar in 2014, when it captured (2,000-2,700) soldiers and took them to the presidential palaces in the city of Tikrit. Some of them were killed there and others were shot dead in other areas. Shot and others were buried alive.
