    Economy News - Baghdad
    The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benjin Rekani, confirmed today, Monday, that the government is working on preparing a civilized design for both sides of the (Doura-Youssoufia) road.
    Rekani said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “The government is working on preparing a civilized design for a kilometer on each side of the (Doura-Youssoufia) road as a first stage, to be a beautiful area that includes all commercial, residential, recreational and other activities.”
    He added, "The large population increase in Baghdad requires the opening of new areas in various directions, and their design in a civilized manner, to restore its civilized face to the capital, and this is what the government is working on."
    He continued, “Any step the government skips; Its goal is development and service only (which was delayed), and in return, it cannot in any way harm any citizen, and under any circumstances,” stressing that “the government did not grant a single investment opportunity in those areas.”
