Today, Thursday (December 7, 2023), the Communications and Media Authority announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Digital Development of Azerbaijan to protect civil aviation radio navigation.
A statement from the authority, received by “Baghdad Today”, said, “The Chairman of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Muayyad, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Azerbaijani Minister of Transport and Digital Development, Rashad Nabiyev, in the field of FM radio frequency coordination.”
He added, "The memorandum that was signed aims to coordinate radio frequency assignments and FM frequency assignments with civil aviation radio navigation services, protect them, and create compatibility between them," noting that "the memorandum adopted radio regulatory regulations and the Geneva Regional Plan of 1984." ), and the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union.
