    [size=45]The Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab Abdullah, confirmed today, Thursday, that his ministry is working to introduce vital projects to confront the water scarcity crisis.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry stated in a statement, “Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab Abdullah, received in his office the British Consul, Rosie Cave, and her accompanying delegation to discuss joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of developing the water resources sector in the country.”[/size]
    [size=45]Diab said during the meeting, “The Ministry is working to introduce vital projects into its program to confront the water scarcity crisis and achieve optimal use of water as it is the sector responsible for managing water resources, and seeks to change the traditional irrigation system to a modern one by relying on pipes to transport water, in addition to re-purification and desalination projects.” Agricultural drainage water and referring it to Iraqi universities to prepare requirements for including projects and costs for studies.”[/size]
    [size=45]For her part, Kaif affirmed, “her country’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry by providing it with expertise and engaging British companies to implement the Ministry’s projects related to the river environment, preventing its pollution, and benefiting from modern technologies in the field of developing the water resources sector,” “wishing” the success of the activities of the Fourth Baghdad Water Conference, which it will host. Baghdad in late April, when the British government will actively participate in the conference.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Minister of Resources stated, “The importance of the conference to unify visions and ideas regarding Iraq’s water issues and benefit from modern technology from countries around the world to develop the water resources sector in the country.”[/size]
