member of the Parliamentary Investment Committee, Suzan Mansour, criticized today, Friday, the rise in residential apartment prices despite the large government support for investment projects.
Mansour said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News: “The investment law needs to be amended due to stimulating the investment movement to provide job opportunities in the country.”
She added, "Most investors did not adhere to the feasibility study that came regarding housing projects," indicating that "Bismaya City is one of the successful projects and its unit prices are not suitable for everyone."
Mansour pointed out that “the state grants the investor very low prices that are close to “free” and the profits therein are 300 percent, which means there is a lack of oversight.”
