Arar border crossing between Iraq and Saudi Arabia received more than 52,000 Iraqi travelers and pilgrims in just 5 days.

The official Saudi News Agency, SPA, reported that the new Arar border crossing provides customs, passport, health and other services to pilgrims and visitors arriving by land from the sisterly Republic of Iraq, to perform Umrah rituals, around the clock.

She indicated that the port received more than 52,000 Umrah pilgrims and travelers arriving by land from the Republic of Iraq, starting this month of February.

The service system at the port works to quickly complete all procedures for pilgrims and provide all services and medical, preventive and awareness care, in addition to many services for which all parties have mobilized their human cadres and financial capabilities for the comfort of the guests of God. More than 100 male and female volunteers also participated, contributing to organizing travelers and assisting them. The elderly and disabled, providing meals.

The “Jdeidah Arar Port” was recently equipped with a passenger lounge, which was developed on an area of 9,000 square meters, with a capacity of more than 20,000 passengers, and more than 400 buses per day, with 68 counters allocated for passports, in addition to 6 areas designated for conducting examination and inspection operations, according to the agency. .

The Saudi agency quoted Iraqi travelers as “praising” the highly integrated services and equipment upon their arrival at the Jdeidet Arar border crossing in the northern border region.
