The Ministry of Migration and Displacement directed its branches in the liberated governorates to prepare reports to assess the extent of the damage in homes for displaced persons within their areas of origin, to allocate sums for the purpose of rehabilitating them, and within the national plan for the return of the displaced.
The ministry’s official spokesman, Ali Abbas Jhakir, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: His ministry is seeking to address the relevant authorities, with the aim of allocating funds to restore the destroyed homes of displaced families within their original liberated areas, and within the national plan for the return of the displaced, which was launched at the end of last December, with the aim of achieving voluntary return.
