Baghdad will host a conference for the foreign community next month

Baghdad aims to restore the country's competencies abroad by launching a conference for the community residing on three continents during the next month.
The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Component Affairs, Nofal Bahaa Musa, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The conference will be held on the twentieth of next month, and will be attended by an elite group of members of the Iraqi community in Europe, Canada, Australia and North America.”
Moussa added, “What is required of this conference is to bring together qualified people, businessmen, and merchants who are eager to return to the country, invest in it, and learn about its true reality, to be an incentive for the rest of the community and to spread reassurance in their souls,” indicating that “the committee in charge delayed announcing the conference due to the need for preparations.” A media and logistical advance, and paved the way for selecting more personalities to attend in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reviewing them with the competent authorities, according to specific criteria for the invitees.”
He explained, "The primary goal of holding the conference is to create investment opportunities for members of the community in cooperation with the Investment Authority and the governorates where these opportunities are available, while holding special workshops in the ministries of higher education, health, and industry concerned with competencies working in large institutions abroad." According to the Sudanese advisor, field visits will be conducted by members of the community to large investment projects, stressing that relevant committees emerged from the Diwani Affairs Committee in charge of the conference will complete the logistical procedures for the conference.
