    Information/Report..
It seems that the dialogues between the Sunni forces have reached advanced stages regarding the election of a new Speaker of Parliament to succeed the dismissed head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi.

Information also indicates that the Progress Party is prepared to give up the position on condition that it is given one of the ministries from one of the Sunni forces that could win the position, namely the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Commerce.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Trade is the share of the Sovereignty Bloc led by Khamis Al-Khanjar, while the Azm Bloc headed by Muthanna Al-Samarra’i obtained the Ministry of Education.
The MP for the Progress Party, Burhan Nasser Al-Nimrawi, told the /Al-Maalouma/ agency that the Sunni forces agreed on a set of options to decide the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, which revolve around the fact that the bloc or party that wants to head the House of Representatives must give up the ministerial shares that it obtained in the current government.

He explained that "if a party wishes to run for the position, it must nominate three names for the position, and the Sunni parties have the freedom to choose whomever they see fit."
He added, "If the head of the Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis Al-Khanjar, wants to head the parliament, he must give up the Ministry of Trade and nominate 3 names, one of whom will be chosen by the head of the Progress Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi."
He added, "The same applies to the head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna Al-Samarra'i, after he resigned from the Ministry of Education."
Al-Nimrawi pointed out that "if everyone agrees to open the door for nominations and amend Article 12, everyone will present their candidates and leave the matter to a vote."
But there are indications that the sovereignty candidate, Salem Al-Issawi, is likely to win the position, due to the existence of implicit agreements from some blocs to support him in any new session of the House of Representatives dedicated to electing the president.
The leader of the Sovereignty Alliance, Ahmed Fawaz Al-Issawi, reported that four Sunni alliances agreed to elect Salem Al-Issawi as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Al-Issawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The session of the House of Representatives, which is scheduled to be held today, will witness coordination between the Azm, Hazm, Sovereignty, and Initiative alliances and some of the leaders of the Progress Party to choose Representative Salem Al-Issawi for the position of President."
He added, "The Sunni alliances will hold an expanded meeting before the House of Representatives session to set a date for the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament."
He denied "the change in the Shiite forces' belief in Salem Al-Issawi for this position, confirming that a number of leaders of the Progress Party, headed by the dismissed Speaker of Parliament, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, voted in favor of Al-Issawi."
As for the Shiite position on these Sunni dialogues and meetings, it remains neutral and waiting for the Sunnis to resolve the issue before intervening in it.
MP for the Al-Fatah Alliance, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, confirmed that the Coordination Framework forces will not impose setting a date for the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament without the Sunni forces reaching an agreement, indicating that imposing setting a date without an agreement will complicate the problem further.
Al-Baldawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Coordination Framework is keen to complete the Sunni entitlement to the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, so it gave many opportunities and time to the Sunni forces to reach an understanding to find a Sunni consensus regarding choosing a person for the position of Speaker of Parliament."

He expected that "an agreement will be reached during the next two sessions or in an extraordinary session."
This important development in the Sunni dialogues indicates that Halbousi is resorting to the status quo and submitting to the will of his component, which categorically rejects repeating Halbousi’s experience in leading the Sunni component, which he claimed. End/25m
