A member of the House of Representatives said on Wednesday that it is difficult for the parliament to set a session to elect a speaker.
MP Burhan Nasser said in a press interview that the political forces, including the Coordination Framework, have not set a date for the session to elect a new speaker of parliament, noting that matters are on hold pending the outcome of the talks between Sunni alliances regarding the initiative proposed by the Progress Party to resolve the presidential crisis, stressing that there is no consensus on a specific figure, indicating that the session to elect a speaker of parliament will be held soon without setting a date for it until a unified position is reached.
He added that everyone agrees on resolving the crisis of choosing a speaker of parliament, but the positions still need to be studied.
