sums no greater than 5 Dinars can be exported out of the country.imported means you will not bring into iraq no more then 25 dinars and when you arive you will exchange your what ever money into dinar!exported out of the country. means when you leave you will exchange your dinar for what ever country money you came from but could keep 5 dinar tops now last i checked we dont have a five dinar note or one dinar note!

Yes, all currency movement throughout the world is restricted, as in the typical $10000. dollar restriction in U.S., so you have to declare if you carry more into other countries. So I can understand why this was the old amount listed as restriction.
But 5 or 25 without indicating of which demonination is the confusing part. Why a 5 which doesn't now exist, I suppose that may be the tip which could indicate the 5 will be released, which is good news, I agree, for any new low denom is encouraging news. As for 25, if they are referring to dinar would also be good sign, but what confused me is even if the new 5 and 25 dinar were a reality.
So, say the new exchange rate at $
1.00 to
1 dinar were to be announced, where does that make sense to restrict an equal to $5.00 U.S. bill to be restricted, that is what makes no sense when using common sense. Save for $25.00 being restricted, just doesn't make sense. Can you imagine any other country having such a low value restriction? But then again, this is Iraq, and we have all seen how strange they think with little regard to common sense. We know old coinage was lowest of 25 dinar, so a 5 dinar note would be good news if true, and hoping it is for at least this makes common sense for a revalue.
Now here is how I see it and why it is confusing, why mention a restriction on only a 5 dinar and a 25 dinar? Where are the restrictions on a 10 dinar as example, wouldn't there have to be other currencies between 5 and 25, would seem logical, but you never know in Iraq. lol What benefit would there be to restrict such a small value even at a $
1.00 to
1 dinar. Even if it was restored to the old $3.22 value, we are then seeing a restriction of under $16.00, still doesn't make sense to have such a small restriction. Oh well, this is just another little piece of the puzzle as I see it. I guess it is possible not to have any notes other than 5 and 25 dinar, so could be a good indicator of what is to come.
