[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Basra - Iraq Press - November 9: Information Office of the Courts of Basra, announced on Wednesday, the high numbers covered by the amnesty law of 2178 to the defendants at the county level.
The office said in a statement, that " the criminal courts of Basra to the Presidency of the resumptionof the Federal Court in 2178 included accusing Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016 , " noting that " the criminal courts in the ongoing scrutiny suits."
The office said that "among covered by the amnesty law 205 of juvenile defendants, and 131 suspects on trial before the criminal courts, and 850 suspects on trial before the misdemeanor courts," adding that "the rest of the courts in Basra continues to apply the law and the completion of proceedings covered by it."
The House of Representatives had voted on 25 August on the amnesty law , which triggered controversy over many months as a result of differences between the political blocs on the covered by the law. Q ended
