Prescott, Elliott, Three Cowboys Lineman Make Pro Bowl

It’s been a great year for the Dallas Cowboys. They’ve won twelve out of fourteen games, they have the two best rookies in the NFL. They’re in first place in the NFC, and now they have five offensive players in the Pro Bowl.
The most obvious selection is Ezekiel Elliott. The rookie out of Ohio State has rejuvenated the entire Cowboys franchise. He is rushing for 5 yards per carry, to the total of 1,551 yards and 13 rushing TDs. Elliott might very well be the favorite for MVP right now. He was clearly a no brainer.
It’s hard to argue with any of the Cowboy selections. Some people have even suggested the 2016 MVP award should go to the entire Cowboys offensive line. Only three made the Pro Bowl, however. Those three are left tackle Tyron Smith, guard Zach Martin, and center Travis Frederick

Power Rankings:: The playoff picture is still hazy with two picks left
Those three have without question been outstanding and helped pave the way for Elliott. Martin has been miraculous since coming out of Notre Dame in 2014. Tyron Smith might be the best offensive lineman in football. Frederick has been the key piece in the middle tying it all together this season. All are ranked high by Pro Football Focus.
It’s great to get five players in, but it’s somewhat surprising that the Cowboys got zero defensive players. That’s a good reminder as to how the nation perceives the Cowboys. Don’t feel too bad Sean Lee, the entire Detroit Lions team was left off of the roster, despite being 9-5, alone atop the NFC North. It will surely add some drama to next week’s Monday Night Football showdown.

There are some notable snubs around the league, including Drew Brees and Matthew Stafford. For a complete list of the Pro Bowl roster, check it out here. Congrats Cowboys Nation, you earned it!
