Thousands of opponents of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union "Brexit" demonstrated in London on Saturday.
Participants in the demonstration, which its organizers called the People's March for Europe, marched along Trafalgar Square and gathered near British Prime Minister Theresa May's headquarters in Downing Street to express their dissatisfaction with the withdrawal from the union.
The Associated Press reported that participants in the protests intend to gather in the parliament square.
The demonstrators carried signs bearing anti-Brexit slogans as well as EU flags.
The demonstration comes ahead of a planned vote next Monday in the British House of Commons concerning a bill to repeal EU legislation in the UK.
