Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Commission warned that some
of the Iraqi-Syrian border check points shall be drowned if the Syrian Tabaqa Dam collapsed, pointing that Iraqi Hadeetha Dam will protect the Iraqi border territories from drowning.
MP Shrooq al-Abayachi expressed Iraqi readiness to assist the Syrian government, if requested, to rehabilitate the Dam.
Syrian Human Rights Observatory disclosed that the Dam stopped operation for "unknown reasons", warning of its total collapse due to the control of Da'ish (ISIS) organization on most of its parts.
