[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Shirifi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend showed surprise over releasing some Arab detainees from the Iraqi prisons, describing it as “Strange action.”[/ltr]
[ltr]In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The government released some Saudi and Jordanian prisoners and it will release some Tunisian later,” noting that “Are they innocent or involved in shedding the Iraqi blood?”[/ltr]
[ltr]“If they are involved in killing the Iraqis, is it correct to release them and keep the Iraqi innocent prisoners in the prison because they fought the US forces?” he concluded.[/ltr]
