BAGHDAD, May 16 (Reuters) - Iraqi Vice President Saddam Hussein has denied any links between the Baath party and an al-Qaeda organization, declining to accuse former Iraqi army officers of joining the group.
"Everyone knows the patriotism of the Iraqi army when it was under the leadership of the national regime, where there was no presence of terrorism, no da'ish, al-Qaeda or the Safavid terrorist militias," Douri said in a new interview with the Tunisian newspaper Maghreb Street. Finished
