    Established Alnhern Center for Strategic Studies, on Wednesday, a workshop entitled (Anti-money laundering and the financing of terrorism), in the presence of a group of experts and specialists in economic affairs.

    The representative of the Chancellery of the National Security Mahmoud al-Bayati, during the workshop, attended by "Economy News", a working paper in which he talked about ways to combat money laundering and the follow-up to those associated with terrorist aggregates and the adoption of the collection of intelligence information on those aggregates and networks, portable and its efforts to reveal the organization and ways to combat them.

    He said al-Bayati, said the first decision was issued on the fight against terrorist organizations after the events of the Algiers Summit in Nairobi in 1999, noting that after the entry of Iraq Daesh society began to move towards combating the financing of terrorist operations.

    He praised the actions taken by the government and the central bank on combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism and the reduction of those operations.

    For his part, the Iraqi private banks association adviser Samir Nasiri spoke about the activity of the Association about its contribution to the establishment of awareness and specialized training courses in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism and the training of a large number of private banks and government staff in this area, and under the supervision of the Central Bank of Iraq and in cooperation with a number of institutions and companies specialized in many areas, in addition to money laundering.

    He noted Alnasiri, that the Association node compliance with anti-money laundering and terrorism financing conference in addition to its participation in Beirut in his economy and business group in this particular conference.
