Mayahi: Rejecting law of limiting terms of three presidencies preserves value of constitution

[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the White bloc, stated that rejecting the law of limiting the terms of the three presidencies preserved the value of the constitution.[/ltr]
[ltr]In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “While welcoming the decision of the Federal Court, we appreciate the integrity of the judiciary and assure that it is not affected by the pressures that some sides attempt to impose against it.”[/ltr]
[ltr]He called “The political blocs not to accuse the Federal Court or awakening its role to achieve some interests,” stressing the necessity of “Working in a national way to support the judiciary and support it to preserve the legitimacy of the constitution and the safety of the political process in the new Iraq.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“Rejecting the law of limiting the terms of the three presidencies by the Federal Court preserved the value of the constitution that some sides attempted to neglect,” he concluded.[/ltr]
