    Parliamentary Integrity: The Iraqi judiciary proved its worthlessness in fighting corruption because it is being blackmailed

    BAGHDAD, June 24 (KUNA) - "The Iraqi judiciary proved its lack of competence in combating corruption, considering files and cases and issuing verdicts for 14 years because it is also subject to extortion and political pressure in this regard," the parliamentary integrity revealed Saturday.
    Taha al-Dafadi, a member of the committee, said that "the government decided to form the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and the Council was formed earlier in last year in an attempt to address the imbalance on the fight against corruption," noting that " The judiciary to issue peremptory verdicts on the files of corruption made the government use international investigators and experts from Britain, America and other countries to help Iraq in the file of fighting corruption, while no official statement or clarification by the government on the work of investigators except for the circulation in the media.
