Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Two American officials informed the Vice-President, Khudhir al-Khuzaiye, that the US Adminstration supports the social peace project in Iraq and hopes to promote security situation through the National Meeting which is scheduled to be held on next Thursday.

Khuzaiye reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday ”Khuzaiye hosted the Senior Advisor of US State Department, Brett Magrec and US Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Becroft, at his office in Baghdad.”

”The meeting tackled the recent developments in Iraq and Arab scene as well as the means to promote mutual relation between the two countries,” the statement added.

”Khuzayi confirmed during the meeting that the political situation in Iraq is approaching towards stability where all political blocs agreed upon the items of the Social Peace project which will represent the new path of political process in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
