The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said on Tuesday that the kingdom would return to its moderate, moderate and open Islam, adding that the new leadership was working to eliminate "destructive ideas."
"We will not waste another 30 years dealing with extremist ideas," Bin Salman said during a panel discussion on the first day of the Investment Future Initiative Forum, which is hosted by Riyadh until Thursday.
"We will eliminate extremist ideologues and lead a normal life," he said, adding that "the Awakening project did not appear in the kingdom until after 1979."
