    The Ministry of Health announced on Monday the registration of more than 4243 cases of suffocation in most of the Iraqi provinces, some received treatment and left the hospital and others in a dangerous situation.
    "Health institutions in Baghdad and the provinces have received many cases of suffocation due to dust storms, some of which have been treated, but there are serious cases of elderly people who suffer from asthma and heart failure," ministry spokesman Saif Al-Bader told Al-Maaloumah.
    He added that "the hospitals of Rusafa side of Baghdad received about 1120 cases of suffocation, while Karkh received about 200 cases and the City of Medicine 30 other cases."
    In a related context, sources in the Ministry of Health said that "the health institutions in Karbala recorded about 650 cases of suffocation, while Salahuddin registered 500 cases and Muthanna 265 cases, the majority of the elderly."
    The sources pointed out that "the province of Nineveh saw 1108 cases of suffocation, all in the camps for the displaced, including 39 cases very dangerous, while Najaf recorded about 100 cases and Anbar 150 as well as the registration of 70 cases in Babylon, Musayyib Hospital."
