    [rtl]BAGHDAD - The Agriculture and Water Committee on Wednesday warned against the emergence of agricultural feudalism after the vote in principle on the law governing the lease of agricultural land, noting that this law will give legitimacy to powerful figures to control thousands of plots.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Committee member Abdul Hadi al-Khairallah said in a press statement that "the House of Representatives voted in its previous session last week in principle on the law of 35 organization of the lease of agricultural land," pointing out that "the members of the Committee on Agriculture refused to vote on this law."[/rtl]
    [rtl]"The new law will legitimize a new feudal appearance in Iraq of influential figures in the government to control thousands of plots and give them to those people," he said.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Khairallah called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives to stop reading draft law 35 on organizing the lease of agricultural land and not allowing the corrupters to acquire and control agricultural land.[/rtl]
