    On Sunday, the parliament of Kurdistan ratified the amnesty law in the Kurdistan region by a majority vote. The law provides for the commutation of death sentences to 15 years imprisonment.
    The Parliament of Kurdistan, headed by Jaafar Ibrahim Imenki, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Becker Dilshad Talabani and in the presence of a number of ministers of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the third session of the autumn for the fifth year of the fourth electoral cycle of the elections. 

    At the beginning, Speaker of the Parliament spoke about the agenda of the seven-point meeting, namely, the preliminary reading of five legal projects and resolutions that included the draft law on public holidays, which stated that there was no disruption on 6 January, the day of the establishment of the Iraqi army, The decision on the issuance of an electronic card to the staff of the Territory and a decision on the lists of personnel, with the start of the seizure of funds and the return of those funds and property illegally acquired.  

    And the second point to the fifth of the program of work, especially the appointment of Ari Abdul Latif as a parliamentarian of Kurdistan to replace Chuan Qladze, who was accompanied by the death, and the resignation of the full Papir of the Parliament of Kurdistan, and the addition of Mustafa Ahmed to the Committee on municipal services, as well as the election of members of the Commission of Inquiry in the events of Tuzkurmato . 

    The sixth point related to the discussion of the draft law on the organization, transplantation and transfer of organs of the human body, and the last point, was related to the discussion of a draft law to issue a general amnesty in the Kurdistan region. 

    Before the agenda of the meeting began, on the basis of the proposals of the majority of the members of parliament, the point was changed between the seventh and sixth points. The Deputy Speaker then welcomed the ministers who were hosted: the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, the Minister of Justice and the Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights. 

    After that, the Parliamentary Affairs Committee of the Parliament began the preliminary reading of the draft laws, the five laws, the decisions not to disrupt the official working day on the 6th of January, the date of the establishment of the Iraqi army, the draft law relating to the events of Turkmen nationalism, And a decision on the list of employees, with the start of seizure of funds and the return of funds and property obtained indirectly, for its part converted the Presidency of Parliament all draft laws and laws to the Committee of Legal Affairs and committees on the Topics to discuss the legal procedures to be taken. 

    Also in the session, Ari Abdellatif was sworn in as a member of the Kurdistan Parliament instead of Shwan Qalladze, who was dead.

    The third point was the resignation of Babir Kamel from the Kurdistan parliament and his resignation was accepted by a majority vote. 

    While the fourth point was the addition of MP Mustafa Ahmed to the Committee on Services in the municipalities by a majority of votes. 

    The fifth point was approved by a majority of the votes that were specific to the election of members of the Commission of Inquiry of the Parliament of Kurdistan in the events of Tuzkurmato. 

    The sixth point was the discussion of a draft amnesty law in the Kurdistan region. The Presidency suggested that the debate on this point be closed and voted by a majority vote (62 agreed and 17 rejected). 

    After a deep discussion on all articles and draft laws and clarifying them and writing remarks and proposals of deputies and ministers who attended the session, the bill was presented to the vote and was accepted by a majority of the votes of the deputies present at the meeting. 

    The law that has been ratified does not cover most of the charges covered by article 8 of the draft law, such as those accused of terrorism and crimes that affect public security and who have been convicted of the murder of women. 

    The law, which has been ratified, refers to the commutation of death sentences to 15 years' imprisonment.
